Perched on top of the Fullerton Bay Hotel, Lantern is a great place to unwind with a drink in a sophisticated tropical-esque environment with terrific views down over Singapore. If possible try and time for visit for just before sunset so that you can enjoy the sight of the sun going down and darkness drawing in over the many twinkling city lights. A trendy and funky spot, it is popular with locals and visitors alike. The drinks menu is varied and there are some delicious cocktails to savour.
Breeze is a super chilled out place that is especially popular with couples looking for somewhere romantic. On the fourth floor, there are nice views of the surroundings. There are regular table and chairs underneath the trees as well as comfy daybeds under canopies. It is easy to find a fairly private spot and forget about the rest of the world all around. Twinkly lights add to the ambiance and there is a great selection of drinks and Mediterranean inspired food to choose from.
Located on Ann Siang Road, B28 offers comfy cream leather seating, a relaxed air, and some tasty drinks. It is a great spot to unwind! The décor is chic, with interesting pictures on the walls. It can get pretty busy during the happy hour, when visitors can take advantage of some great drinks bargains and promotions. If you visit on a Friday evening you can kick back to the sultry sounds of jazz.
Wala Wala Café Bar
Combining an upbeat and lively vibe with a welcoming and laid-back atmosphere, you can enjoy a drink in great company at this unpretentious place in Holland Village. If you’re feeling a bit peckish you can enjoy some great food on the lower level before heading upstairs to chill to live music. There are bands on most nights, sports are sometimes shown on the TV, and occasionally there is a stand up comedian to add something a bit different to your evening.
For a quiet and peaceful environment where you can sit and chat in ease, check out the lovely One Rochester. The gorgeous colonial period building sits in picturesque gardens, complete with leafy trees, fragrant flowers, and soothing fountains. There is a choice of indoor dining areas as well as outdoor seating. Food and drinks are all great and you are sure to have a very pleasant evening here.
Bob’s Bar at the Capella Hotel may be a little way out of the main heart of the city but it is well worth the journey out there for a nice evening in a terrific place. The designs and decorations are really enticing – sofas and daybeds invite you to linger a while with a drink whilst soaking up the nice views of Sentosa Island and listening to the soothing sounds of Latin American Jazz. You would be forgiven for thinking that you had taken a step back in time to Cuba in the 50s and 60s.
