Chinatown

From local hawker stalls to trendy new-age bars, Chinatown is a bustling enclave that straddles the line between old and new. The heritage-rich, kitschy tourist-chic spot has pretty much everything you can think of, from fascinating temples and souvenir shops to local food hawker stalls and cool bars. If you’re a foodie, try ‘char kway teow’ (stir-fried noodles) and ‘satay’ (barbecued meat skewers) at Chinatown Food Street, a row of hawker stalls, shophouse restaurants and kiosks along Smith Street, which is right next to Santa Grand Hotel Lai Chun Yuen.
